Begin Your Journey to Healing

"Embarking on a healing journey after a loss is a courageous step towards finding solace and strength amidst the pain. Begin by granting yourself permission to grieve in your own way and at your own pace. Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends, family, or professionals who can listen without judgment. Embrace self-care practices that resonate with you, whether it's journaling, meditation, exercise, or creative outlets. Remember that healing is not linear; there will be ups and downs, but each step forward is a testament to your resilience. Give yourself the gift of time and patience, and as you navigate this journey, may you find moments of peace and healing along the way."

The Other Alternative

The Other Alternative was developed to aid individuals who have experienced loss from a pregnancy due to an abortion.  The organization is led by Rachel Fallorina who has personally walked through her own journey to healing.

Rachel has dedicated her life to walking alongside those searching for answers to their feelings of grief, loss and sadness. She has made a huge impact in many lives by listening, supporting and providing a safe place where women young and old can talk to someone trained in after abortion care.

"For me, working with individuals hurting or experiencing grief is a calling I am passionate about." Rachel Fallorina

Healing

Since 2012, The Other Alternative has helped women and girls find their voice. We continue to provide support to those experiencing grief and loss after an abortion. The Other Alternative's mission is to be a "Culture of Care" by providing resources, education and healing for those seeking help.

Here are a few of the emotions women may experience after an abortion:

  • Anger

  • Broken Relationships

  • Depression

  • Guilt

  • Numbness

  • Regret

  • Substance Abuse

Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. The Other Alternative adapts our healing program to meet the needs of the clients we serve. Through the use of various curriculum faith-based and non-faith-based, we offer one-on-one support as well as group studies. We support those who have had a pregnancy loss from an abortion within the past year or those who had one years ago but are still grieving.
